ORENBURG REGION

By the end of 2013, the Czech aircraft factory Aircraft Industries (a majority stake in which is owned by the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company) could send five L-410 UVP E20 planes to the Orenburg region to help with regional cargo shipments. Three are passenger airplanes and two are convertible aircraft that can provide medical services in remote regions. A preliminary agreement has been reached between the governor of the Orenburg region, Yuri Berg, and UMMC's CEO, Andrei Kozitsyn.

UMMC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that decisions about the financial terms of the deal would take into account any state subsidies for leased aircraft.

Since the L-410 UVP E20 was certified in August 2009, Aircraft Industries has manufactured 35 of the planes, more than 20 of which have been shipped to Russia. Various countries in Latin America and Eastern Europe have also purchased the aircraft.
