VSMPO-AVISMA is increasing its output of titanium sponge

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC intends to increase its annual output of titanium sponge to 44 thousand tons in three years. The projects developed within the investment program include a titanium sponge processing facility that will be built at the production site in Berezniki (Perm Territory).

The corporation's press-office has informed RusBusinessNews that the commencement of construction is scheduled for 2012 and it will take three years.

In 2011, VSMPO-AVISMA is planning to produce 27 thousand tons of titanium sponge products - a 45% increase as compared to the previous year. In 2012, the output can increase by another 23%.
