SVERDLOVSK REGION.

The Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC) is going to launch the licensed centralized Software Asset Management (SAM) from Microsoft. The agreement was reached during the meeting of Andrei Kozitsyn, UMMC General Director, with Don Grantham, Vice President for Microsoft in Central and Eastern Europe, and Nikolay Pryanishnikov, President of Microsoft Russia.

The representatives of the UMMC Press Service have informed RusBusinessNews that due to the SAM technology, the enterprises of the Urals-based holding company will be able to operate software without any risk of license purity violation and will be able to obtain the supporting certificate.

UMMC and Microsoft started their cooperation five years ago, and over that period they have signed two three-year agreements on cooperation within the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and Microsoft Enterprise Agreement Subscription programs. At present, Microsoft products are being used by more than 10 thousand employees working for the
Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company.
