VSMPO will take part in manufacturing of the DreamLiner for Russian airlines

In April 2012, the elongated Boeing 787-9 DreamLiner debuted in its test flight; the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, supplies parts for this model.

In 2012, VSMPO-AVISMA will almost triple its volume of supply for manufacturing of these airliners - reaching 73 tons of die-forgings monthly. Under the agreement with the Boeing Aerospace Corporation, titanium parts for the DreamLiner are machine-tooled at the Russian and US joint venture - Ural Boeing Manufacturing in Verkhnyaya Salda.

The VSMPO-AVISMA Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that Boeing 787-9 DreamLiner is very popular among Russian airlines: Aeroflot intends to buy more than 20 airliners, Transaero - 4 aircraft. Boeing estimates that by 2029 the sales of new airliners will reach 3.6 trillion US dollars.
