VSMPO to supply parts for Bombardier's airplanes

Bombardier Aerospace, which after Boeing and Airbus is the world's third largest manufacturer of civil aircraft, has ordered complex-contour parts from VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC, for the wings of their C-series airplanes.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that of the 20 types of products that were ordered, test batches of three have been manufactured to date. There are plans to begin producing the remaining titanium components in June, 2012.

Mass production will begin after Bombardier Aerospace certifies the parts.
