21.04.2009 — News

KhMAO.

Pal Jenő Fabian, the Consul General of Hungary in Ekaterinburg informed the Governor Aleksandr Filipenko that Hungarian contractors will continue the construction of the float-glass plant in Ugra.

The Hungarian company Tandako Kft made a statement in 2007 that it was ready to spend 66 million Euro on the construction of a plant that would use high quality quartz sand in Nyagan. It was planned that the plant would be capable to produce enough sheet glass not only for Ugra but to supply it to other regions of the Urals Federal District. The construction was suspended due to the 2008 financial crisis.

The regional Government informed RusBusinessNews that Pal Jenő Fabian made the Ugra Governor several offers on expanding the cooperation between the Budapest and the Ugra Universities and informed him that Hungarian companies are ready to supply associated oil gas utilization equipment to Ugra.

In 2008 the trade turnover between Ugra and Hungary amounted to 482 million US dollars. Exports of oil products amounted to 99.7% of the sum total.
