Ural Airlines has beaten its own passenger record

For the first time in its history, Ural Airlines transported over 1 million passengers in a single five-month period. Between January and May of 2012, 1,137,115 passengers took advantage of the airline's services. This is almost 1.6 times more than during the same period last year.

Ural Airline's press office told RusBusinessNews that the company made 9,524 flights during those five months in 2012, 5,807 of which were to international destinations.

Ural Airlines is currently one of the top 10 major Russian airlines for safety and volume of traffic. In 2011, the air carrier served over 2.5 million passengers. Ural Airline's primary fleet consists of 24 Airbus aircrafts.
