Uralvagonzavod and SDS, a French company, will start manufacturing dual-purpose products

The Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, OJSC, and Sagem Défense Sécurité are planning to set up a joint venture to manufacture equipment that can be used both in the military and the civil sectors. The companies signed an agreement on cooperation at the Second International Forum, Engineering Technologies 2012, which is held in Zhukovsky in the Moscow Region.

The representatives of the UVZ Press Service has informed RusBusinessNews that the cooperation can grow into a joint venture that will manufacture products for the world market by using innovative designs of SDS.

The French company Sagem Défense Sécurité is a member of the Safran Group and is one of the world's leaders in manufacturing of inertial navigation and optical electronic systems used in the civil and military sectors.
