UVZ's 2012 revenue will exceed 95 billion rubles

Between January and June of 2012, UVZ Corporation's parent company in Nizhny Tagil - the Uralvagonzavod research and production corporation, OJSC - had revenue of 38.9 billion rubles. This is an increase by one third compared to the same period last year.

Sales income rose by 18.2%, reaching 6.5 billion rubles. Uralvagonzavod's net profits were 3.4 billion rubles. The company's EBITDA was unchanged from last year - 5.9 billion rubles.

During this six-month period the company manufactured almost 14,000 units of railroad rolling stock. Work is underway to fulfill orders from the Russian Ministry of Defense and from foreign companies. Specialized production increased by 45.6%.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that Uralvagonzavod plans to produce over 27,000 units of rolling stock in 2012, and that the company's revenue will exceed 95 billion rubles.
