PERM TERRITORY.

After completion of the 2012 repair program, the production capacity of some divisions of URALCHEM, OJSC, Azot’s subsidiary, will increase by 1.5 times. This will create the prerequisites for the development of related types of manufacturing.

Azot's press office told RusBusinessNews that this year the company is spending four times the money it disbursed last year for repair work, up to 1.323 billion rubles. Between June and July, equipment was overhauled in the facilities that produce water-resistant ammonium nitrate, concentrated nitric acid, urea, and ammonia, as well as in several other divisions.

Steps have been taken in the chemical water-treatment plant to increase the capacity of the water-softening equipment from 120 to 180 cubic meters per hour. This water is converted to industrial steam, which is used in virtually all of Azot's facilities. This increase in the production of softened water will allow the entire integrated plant to become more energy efficient and productive.
