PERM REGION.

By 2015, the URALCHEM United Chemical Company, OJSC, intends to invest about 5 billion rubles in upgrading of its assets. Most of the funds will be allocated to the Azot Branch in Berezniki and the Perm-located Mineral Fertilizers, which bring more than 50% of the profit to the holding company. The amounts were announced when Viktor Basargin, the governor of the Perm Region, visited the Berezniki factory.

The representatives of the Azot’s Press Service have informed RusBusinessNews that on August 30 in 2012 Viktor Basargin visited the ammonia production facility and the warehouse for finished products at Azot, learned about the production and financial performance of the company, its personnel and social policy. In his closing speech, he expressed his hope for the company’s successful implementation of its modernization plans.

The Berezniki-based Azot Branch is one of the largest taxpayers in the Perm Region. In 2011, its tax deductions totaled 204.6 million rubles, out of this amount 90.5 million rubles were remitted to the Kama regional budget and 114.1 million rubles – to the budget of Berezniki. In 2012 the funds earmarked by the Azot Branch for environmental protection measures will amount to more than 270 million rubles.
