Uralvagonzavod and Evraz Group have signed a five-year agreement

The Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation and Evraz Group have entered into a contract lasting until 2018 to supply metal goods. This five-year agreement was signed in Berlin during the international InnoTrans-2012 exhibition.

The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that this document establishes a mutually binding commitment to purchase rolled metal goods and railway wheels. This collaboration between Evraz Group and UVZ will create a transparent pricing mechanism that is linked to market indices.

Evraz Group is one of the largest vertically-integrated metals and mining companies, with operations in Russia, Ukraine, Europe, the USA, Canada, and South Africa. The company is ranked 15th in the world in terms of steel production - producing 16.8 million tons in 2011.
