VSMPO will help create a new generation of engines

VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC is going to begin to manufacture components for the new Silvercrest and LEAP engines. The relevant agreement with the Belgian engine manufacturer, Techspase Aero (part of the Safran group), could be signed by the end of 2012. The company plans to extend its range of available products up to 40 articles.

The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that in addition to being far more environmentally friendly, the engines developed by Safran require 15% less fuel than similar models. This innovative new equipment will be installed on the Boeing 737 MAX, Airbus 320 NEO, and Chinese Comac C919.
