Turkish Airlines Launch a Flight for the Urals Holiday-Makers

19.05.2009 — News

THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST

Turkish Airlines will put a competitive pressure on Russian airlines by carrying the Urals tourists who travel to the Turkish Riviera this summer. A new scheduled flight Ekaterinburg - Antalya - Ekaterinburg will be launched on 29 May 2009.

As the management of the company told RusBusinessNews, the flight from Ekaterinburg will run Tuesdays and Fridays. The round trip will be serviced by Boeing-737-800 and will cost from 338 to 398 Euro. The majority of seats will be booked by Pegas Touristik.

So far, only charter flights ran on Ekaterinburg - Antalya connection. Vladivostok Air, Orenburg Airlines and Ural Airlines will also serve the route this season.

In the opinion of the Urals tourist market players, Turkey is under the strong competitive pressure of Egypt now. Due to this fact, the prices are being reduced; the price-cutting is influenced not so much by the Turkish hotel owners' position as by the policy of the major tour operators. Anex Tour, Tez Tour, Pegas Touristik, Coral Travel - all of these are powerful players with the Turkish capital, fiercely fighting against each other.
