India and China Have Supported the Export Potential of the Perm Krai

THE PERM KRAI.

In January-March, 2009, the economic crisis has reduced the Perm Krai export operations by 20.5% y.o.y. and amounted to 1.41 billion US dollars. The export, amounted to 914.1 million US dollars, traditionally has the leading position in the trade balance.

RusBusinessNews was informed by the regional Government that in Q1 its leading foreign trade partners were India (204.9 million US dollars) and China (200.1 million US dollars). The USA (73.6 million US dollars) is among the three leaders as well.

Chemical production of the Perm enterprises takes the main portion (73%) of its export, whilst shipments of rubber make up a significant part of it (14%).
