Uralvagonzavod to install on its tanks sights made by the French firm SAGEM

The Uralvagonzavod research and production company, OJSC has signed a cooperation agreement with the French company Sagem Défense Sécurité, a subsidiary of the SAFRAN group. The document was signed in the presence of the Russian prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev, and the prime minister of the Republic of France, Jean-Marc Ayrault.
The corporation's press office told RusBusinessNews that the agreement stipulates the use of electro-optical equipment and other SAGEM products on the armored vehicles and artillery systems made by the Uralvagonzavod corporation.
SAGEM Défense Sécurité is a global leader in electro-optics, the number-one manufacturer in Europe and third in the world of inertial navigation systems for airplanes, ships, and land-based vehicles.
