THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST.

The number of enterprises and companies, located in the centre of Ekaterinburg made a decision to suspend their work during the SCO heads of states meeting for 15-16 June 2009. The forthcoming traffic problems - main streets will be temporarily cordoned off both for transport and pedestrians - force people of the city to take an unscheduled vacation.

RusBusinessNews was informed by tour operators that the dates most in demand are 11-17 June. Greek islands are most popular - nearly all the charters have already been sold out. Breaks in Spain and Italy are also in high demand.

On the whole, the current situation in the tour operators' market in Ekaterinburg does not follow the predictions made in the first quarter. Then many experts forecasted that the Euro growth would give an advantage to Turkey and Egypt as they set prices in US dollars. However, the majority of tourists from Urals express interest to breaks in Europe, which accounts for 60% of sales.
