UMMC to invest three billion rubles in the Gai Mining and Processing Works in 2014

Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company intends to invest about 3.1 billion rubles in the development of the Gai Mining and Processing Works in 2014. This will include 1.2 billion to enlarge the deep horizons of the underground mine and 558 million to expand the ore-processing plant.

UMMC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that in 2014 the output of the underground mine is expected to grow by 200,000 tons - up to 5.8 million tons of ore.

In the future, the mine's productivity will increase to 6.5 million tons, and the ore-processing plant will be able to handle 9 million tons of ore each year.
