Azot, a subsidiary of UCC URALCHEM, OJSC, has produced more than 2 million tons of products

By the end of 2014, Azot, the Berezniki-based subsidiary of UCC URALCHEM, OJSC, had achieved a production record over the past 6 years: It produced 2.16 million tons of products, exceeding its level of the previous year by 2.4%.

Murad Chaparov, Director of the subsidiary, has informed RusBusinessNews that in 2015 the output is planned to go up by 1.2%.

The performance was improved due to the long-term program of upgrading. Over the last 5 years, the investment in development and renovation of the subsidiary has totaled 7.2 billion rubles. In 2014, the potassium nitrate and ammonia manufacturing facilities were revamped; therefore, the annual outputs increased by 7 and 20 thousand tons, respectively.

The Azot subsidiary gives its priority attention to environmental protection. In 2014, Azot channeled more than 140 million rubles to environmental protection programs.
