VSMPO-AVISMA and Arconic SMZ are entering into a joint venture

Arconic SMZ (former Alcoa SMZ) and VSMPO-AVISMA announced their entering into a joint venture. AlTi Forge, JSC, will be operating at the site of the Samara Metallurgical Plant and will manufacture value-added products from titanium and aluminum alloys.

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Service of the titanium corporation, the product list includes landing gear and wing components of modern aircraft. Products are intended for the aviation and aerospace industries. The operating data of the joint venture have not been disclosed yet.

The cooperation agreement signed by Alcoa and VSMPO-AVISMA in October 2013 was the first step in the setting up of the joint venture.
