The Russian Copper Company (RCC) took part in the 9th Russian-German conference "Industrial Production and Mineral Resources: Impact on Climate and Environment". The conference took place in Düsseldorf on November 23-25, 2016, as RusBusinessNews has been informed by the RCC Press Service.

RCC CEO Vsevolod Levin talked about RCC’s rational approach to using natural resources. Facing the problem of depleting reserves, companies operating in the copper sector adopt innovative technologies of mining and processing ores with low copper content. RCC was the first among Russian companies to apply technologies, which turned out to be highly efficient for developing large ore deposits where the copper content was only 0.4%.

RCC takes a very responsible approach to consumption of water and energy resources by using closed-loop water systems and reusing heat energy. In addition, the company takes advantage of recovery of all industrial products: from slag, cake and dust processing at smelters to using overburden and beneficiation sands at mining facilities.
