The President of Tajikistan Will Take Home General’s Uniform from Ekaterinburg

Tajikistan's president Emomali Rakhmon will be pronounced an Honoured Professor of the Ural State Academy of Mining and Geology during his visit to the SCO summit on 15-16 June 2009. He will take home a university uniform with general's three stars.

The university representatives told RusBusinessNews that Emomali Rakhmon will visit the university on 15 June and will meet the students from Tajikistan. More than 50 Tajikistan citizens currently study at Ekaterinburg universities.

According to expert estimates, out of 70,000 citizens of Tajikistan currently living in the Sverdlovsk Oblast, around 45,000 live in Ekaterinburg. They mostly work in construction and trade sectors.
