The court hearing is scheduled for June 24 regarding a multimillion-ruble claim filed against VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation PJSC over the damage caused to the land owned by the Ural Interregional Directorate of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources (Rospotrebnadzor).

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Service of the directorate, the alleged violation was detected by the scheduled onsite audit in June-August 2019. It was found that the corporation caused land damage by its operations; the land is a protected area adjacent to the land plot located at the northern border of Verkhnyaya Salda.

Having estimated the damage, the directorate sent a recovery claim to the corporation on August 7, 2020. However, the corporation did not agree to voluntary compensation.

Then the directorate filed a claim for 651.6 million rubles to the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region, requesting a compensation from VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation PJSC for the damage caused to the soils.
