Verkhnyaya Salda hosts regional super speedway competitions

In Verkhnyaya Salda, the regional Super Speedway competitions have been held – races on motorcycles with sidecars and quad bikes with mono-drive. Thirty athletes from the Sverdlovsk region team from Kamensk-Uralsky, Ekaterinburg, Irbit, Kirgi, Bogdanovich, and Verkhnyaya Salda competed for victory. This was reported to RusBusinessNews by the press service of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation – the organizer and main sponsor of the competitions.

In the summer of 2023, residents and guests of the city followed the country's best racers at the stage of the Russian Motocross Cup for the first time. At that time, the Salda residents also climbed the podium – Yegor Isaev became third in the open-2 class (MotoWorld team), and the crew of Artem Sitdikov (Tirus-moto) and Evgeny Ufimtsev (Motodom, Irbit) took second place in the 500 cc class.

 

The VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation has supported the Tirus-moto motorcycle racing section since 2021. To date, 23 athletes from 5 to 38 years old are training in it. Over two years of the motorcycle club's operation, the Corporation has purchased four new motorcycles for riders aged 5 to 15, as well as conducts technical maintenance for all 14 bikes. Clothing and gear are renewed annually.
