On July 2, 2010 Chelyabinsk Regional Court held that the strike organized by the trade-union of Aleksandrinskaia Mining Company OJSC (which is a body incorporated in the Russian Copper Company group of companies) and by the committee of the mining and smelting trade-union of the Chelyabinsk region.

The trade-union did not give any notice about the strike in the established order neither to the management of Russian Copper Company nor to the self-governing authorities and law enforcement agencies. In this relation, Russian Copper Company estimated actions of the mining and smelting trade-union as provocation aimed to fuel tension between trade-unions and the company management.
