In September 2020, Ural Airlines completed 6,114 flights (97% of the total flights in the same month of 2019) and carried 888,546 passengers (89.5%).

During the nine-month period, the carrier’s airliners completed 34,028 flights (70%) and provided services to 4,489,201 passengers (61%).

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Service of Ural Airlines, the airline was able to reinvent itself and adapt to the COVID-19 pandemic environment by adopting an anti-crisis program and mobilizing all the available resources. Some of the airliners were retrofitted to haul humanitarian cargo from China to Russia and Europe. Since April 13, the airline’s planes have completed 494 cargo flights and transported 4,835 tons of cargo.

Ural Airlines ranks among the leading Russian airlines by passenger traffic. In 2019, the airline provided services to 9,616,908 passengers (+7% against 2018). The carrier’s fleet consists of 49 Airbus airliners (3 A320neos, 2 A321neos, 23 A320s, 16 A321s and 5 A319s).
