Research & Production Corporation UralVagonZavod will supply 2,900 gondola cars to UCL Holding

Until the end of 2012, the Research & Production Corporation UralVagonZavod will supply 2,900 gondola cars, Type 12-196-01, to the Transportation Group, Universal Cargo Logistics Holding, under the signed agreement.

The representatives of the Press Service of the corporation informed "RusBusinessNews" that Type 12-196-01 of the gondola car is one of the latest developments of the Ural Design Railcar Building Bureau (business unit of UralVagonZavod). It is the first Russian production model of the new generation, designed on the truck, Type 18-194-1, with the axial load equal to 25 ton-forces; it is safer and more efficient in operation. The space of the reinforced body is 88 cubic meters; the load-carrying capacity is 75 tons; the distance run between overhauls is 250 thousand kilometers. The guaranteed service life is 4 years or 500 thousand kilometers.

Research & Production Corporation UralVagonZavod, OJSC, was established in March 2008 at the facilities of the UralVagonZavod Federal State Unitary Enterprise. The corporation includes 19 production facilities and research institutes. UralVagonZavod manufactures railway, military, road construction and agricultural machinery. The authorized capital is RUB 20.56bn. 100% of shares are in the state ownership.
