Part of the VSMPO-Avisma shares will be sold through IPO
20.07.2011 — News
In 2013-2014 the State Corporation Rostechnologies may sell part of its shares of the Corporation VSMPO-Avisma, OJSC through IPO. At present, Rostechnologies hold 66% of shares of the Russian manufacturer of titanium.
The Corporation’s executive managers refuse the rumors proliferated by mass media concerning the arrival of a new majority shareholder. Mikhail Voevodin, General Director of VSMPO-Avisma, defined it as "a classical example demonstrating how reporters of federal mass media work: They do not hear what they are listening to, and hear mostly what they want".
The Corporation’s representatives have assured the RusBusinessNews reporter that the RF government will never allow any degradation of VSMPO. "Without VSMPO-Avisma, the United Aviation Corporation can be closed down, together with manufacturing of rockets, submarines, ships and other knowledge-intensive innovative products", pointed out M. Voevodin.
