28.07.2011 — News
By the end of 2011, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UGMK) will have purchased 72 items of mining mobile equipment to develop copper deposits in the Orenburg Region. The equipment will be delivered to the company's structural subdivision - the Gaisky Mining and Processing Complex that performs copper ore mining operations in the area.
The representatives of the UGMK Press Service have informed "RusBusinessNews" that the business subdivision has already received 30 new machines. The main suppliers are Atlas Copco (Sweden), Zanam-Legmet (Poland), Schopf (Germany), Sandvik (Finland), Komatsu and Hitachi (Japan) as well as Hyundai (South Korea). The total fleet of the Gaisky Mining and Processing Complex consists of 300 items of machinery and equipment.
The purchasing of new machines is necessitated by mining operations that were commenced at the Levoberezhnoye deposit. Its reserves are estimated at 1,862 million tons of ore (the copper content is 72.3 thousand tons). Later on, the company intends to develop another two deposits in the Orenburg Region. In 2011, the ore output at the Gaisky Mining and Processing Complex is expected to total 7.12 million tons of ore.
