The president of India praised the fighting power of the T-90S tank

The president of India, Pratibha Patil, used a T-90S tank manufatured by Uralvagonzavod RPC, OJSC to travel to the desert of Rajasthan, where the Indian army was taking part in training exercises.
The press office of the Uralvagonzavod research and production corporation, OJSC told RusBusinessNews that Pratibha Patil lauded the combat potential and reliability of the T-90S tanks, which make up the bulk of the fighting power of the Indian ground forces.
It bears mentioning that the Uravagonzavod corporation has provided India with 124 T-90S tanks and 223 sets of vehicles, valued at $1.237 billion. The last shipment of 20 tanks and 160 vehicle sets arrived in 2010. Currently the Russian holding company supplies components for the manufacture of tanks at the HVF factory in the Indian city of Avadi.
