06.03.2012 — News
By the end of March 2012, CHTZ-Uraltrac, LLC (a subsidiary of the Uralvagonzavod research and production corporation) will have fulfilled its contract to deliver 40 B-12 bulldozers to Cuba.
The company's press office told RusBusinessNews that the first shipment of ten vehicles left Russia in January. Now another 15 bulldozers are being readied to leave the Port of St. Petersburg for Havana.
The equipment will be used to repair the damage left by Hurricane Gustav. Russia provided the republic with a loan to purchase the bulldozers and spare parts as part of an intergovernmental agreement. By winning the tender to provide the equipment, CHTZ-Uraltrac resumed the export of equipment to Cuba after a 20-year hiatus.
