06.06.2012 — News
Ural Airlines and Amadeus, which provides services for airlines, have signed a technology partnership agreement.
In 2013, Ural Airlines will begin to adopt Amadeus's innovative platform, Altéa. This will open up whole new possibilities for Ural Airlines passengers. Individual travelers will be able to select the flights that work best for them, taking the shortest routes with the most convenient connections to anywhere in the world. All existing interline agreements, as well as the flight schedules of other airlines, will automatically be taken into account. The new system will also offer the air carrier the most flexibility in designing its fare schedules and loyalty programs for frequent fliers.
The airline's press office told RusBusinessNews that once it adopts the Altéa IT solution, Ural Airlines will be the first Russian airline offering the Altéa Departure Control automated check-in system.
Ural Airlines is currently one of the top 10 major Russian airlines for safety and volume of traffic. In 2011, the air carrier served over 2.5 million passengers. Ural Airline's primary fleet consists of 24 Airbus aircrafts.
