Ural Airlines and Deutsche Bahn reached agreement on ground transfer

19.07.2012 — News

MOSCOW

Ural Airlines and the major rail operator of Germany - Deutsche Bahn - signed an agreement on transfer of the airline's passengers. It will help them to provide an effective air-rail connection. As a result, passengers traveling with Ural Airlines from Moscow to Cologne will be able to continue their trip by rail to other German cities - Berlin, Bremen, Dresden, Dusseldorf, and Frankfurt.

The representatives of the airline's press-service have informed RusBusinessNews that passengers will need only one ticket along the entire route due to the combined sales system of the carriers. The new service will become available starting from August-September 2012.

Ural Airlines rank among the top ten leading Russian airlines in terms of safety and passenger traffic. In 2011, the airline provided services to more than 2.5 million passengers. The core of Ural Airlines' fleet is composed of 24 Airbus airliners.
