ORENBURG REGION

In 2012, the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company is going to purchase mining equipment for the amount of more than 2 billion rubles for development of the minefields in the Orenburg Region. Since the start of the year, the company’s business subdivision - the Gaysky Integrated Mining and Processing Plant has received more than 50 equipment units. The main suppliers are Atlas Copco (Sweden), Sandvik (Finland), Hitachi and Komatsu (Japan), Zanam-Legmet (Poland).

The UMMC Press-Service has informed RusBusinessNews that the purchasing of new equipment is required due to the expansion of the ore-mining operations of the company - in 2011 the company started development of the Yuzhno-Kirovskoye and Levoberezhnoye minefields. The reserves of the latter reach 1.862 million tons of ore (the copper content – 72.3 thousand tons). The re-equipment will result, among other things, in a 3.5% increase in the annual output, totaling 5.6 million tons of ore in the underground mine of the Gaysky Integrated Mining and Processing Plant.
