The number of nanomanufacturing facilities is rising in the Sverdlovsk region

SVERDLOVSK REGION

Seven new nanomanufacturing facilities have opened in the Sverdlovsk region in 2012, producing construction materials, surface coatings, electronics, and gas-purification catalysts. Over a period of nine months, they provided consumers with over 580 million rubles' worth of products.

The regional government told RusBusinessNews that the amount of public money invested in the nanotechnology industry is increasing - 41.5 million rubles has been allocated this year for projects that apply nano-innovations. Currently projects are being chosen to receive 137.5 million rubles in support between 2013-2015.
