Yamal Reindeer is in Growing Demand in Europe

Yamal reindeer breeders are beginning to supply raw materials to Sweden. The initial batch of two thousand deer skins was shipped to Kero Leather AB, a leather supplier to Italian shoe and furniture makers.

The regional Government informed RusBusinessNews that first batches of venison were shipped to Europe in 2009. Brodersen & Kover GmbH (Germany) will receive 45 tons and Polarika (Sweden) - 50 tons of the gourmet meat.

The Yamal Reindeer Company is planning to produce about a thousand tons of venison this year. The product was very much liked in Germany - German customers are going to buy 135 tons of this meat. The delicacy will come to Greece - about 30 tons of venison will be shipped there. It is expected that most of the Yamal meat products will be sold in Russia.
