THE PERM OBLAST.
Amusement Logic S.L. from Spain has submitted the project of a new 40 hectare zoo to the Perm Mayor's office. The construction cost is estimated at 3-4 billion roubles.
The project includes the portrayal of natural ecosystems divided into several areas: "Elephants and Co", "Mountain Dwellers", "Polar World", "Forest Mosaic", "African Savannah", "Tropical Paradise", and "Land of Monkeys". Open-air cages will occupy two thirds of the territory. The remaining area will be transformed into the "Perm Age Park", where the visitors will be able to engage in sports activities, go shopping, or watch the animal show.
The zoo, unique in Russia, will also be amongst the best in the world. The Perm Mayor's office informed RusBusinessNews that all the documents required for starting the construction will be ready before the end of 2009. The construction will be sponsored by the Perm and Perm Krai authorities and the Fund for Regional Social Programs "Our Future".
