UMMC launched a plant with 550 K t annual capacity in Tyumen

The metallurgical plant included into the iron & steel division of UMMC was launched in a test mode.

The company’s press office told RusBusinessNews that in the next few months the company would start comprehensive process tests at the facility. The first industrial product output is expected in Q4 2013. The plant shall reach its full design capacity in 2014.

The total cost of the first metallurgical plant in Tyumen Region is RUR 22 bln. Design capacity is 550 K t of rolled steel profiles per annum. The full return on investment into the project is anticipated within 9 years.
