URALCHEM and Stamicarbon are developing a new type of technology to synthesize urea
06.12.2013 — News
The United Chemical Company URALCHEM, OJSC and the European holding company Stamicarbon have signed an agreement to jointly develop a technology to synthesize urea.
URALCHEM’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the new method will make it possible to obtain a higher quality finished product at lower cost.
The pilot installation, which was designed by Stamicarbon, will be built at the Mineral Fertilizer Plant in Perm (a subsidiary of URALCHEM). If the experiment proves successful, the European company will begin designing an industrial-scale installation.
In the future, this new technology will be available for commercial use worldwide.
