Uralvagonzavod is going to enter the African market for railcars

The Uralvagonzavod Research and Production Corporation, OJSC, is planning to forge cooperation with Rift Valley Railways, an African company servicing the railway in Kenya and Rwanda.

During their visit to Nizhny Tagil, the representatives of Rift Valley Railways offered Uralvagonzavod to take part in the tender for supply of 480 flat cars for one-meter track typical of countries of Africa and South America.

The Press Service of the Corporation has informed RusBusinessNews that Uralvagonzavod intends to assess the prospects of manufacturing such products. At present, flat cars made by Uralvagonzavod are designed for the "Russian" track (1,520 millimeters wide).
