The French Castorama Aims to Open Two Hypermarkets in the Urals

Castorama, a French retailer of DIY and home improvement tools and supplies, has received the approval for building a store in Perm. This will be the company's 9 project in Russia, and the first one in the Urals.

As the city authorities informed RusBusinessNews, a 12 thousand square meters' plot of land was allotted to Castorama. The construction should be accomplished in 2 years. The assumption is to present 35 thousand household and repair goods made by leading Russian and foreign producers.

The French retailer intends to show up in the Sverdlovsk Oblast as well. Castorama representatives are negotiating the rental of 12 thousand square meters at a retail park in Akademicheski, the new Ekaterinburg district.
