Ramada Hotel Is Not Ready to Accommodate the Chinese Delegation at the SCO Summit

05.06.2009 — News

THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST.

Due to outstanding works, Ramada Hotel won't be able to accommodate the largest delegation at the upcoming SCO Summit (15-16 June 2009); the Chinese delegation will have to change its plans and stay in a different hotel.

Initially Ramada was supposed to be commissioned in December 2009. Commissioning works had to be accelerated when the Chinese delegation refused to stay elsewhere. The only hotel the delegation wanted to stay at was Ramada.

The developer promised to do its best so that the hotel was ready to welcome the guests on 25 May. They didn't manage to do this in spite of working round the clock. Ramada was removed from the list of hotels accredited for the Summit.

Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Ekaterinburg told RusBusinessNews that over 100 Chinese delegates will stay in Oktyabrskaya Hotel. The commissioning of Ramada is scheduled for July.
