Iranian President Will Arrive in Ekaterinburg on 16 June

Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad will arrive in Ekaterinburg on 16 June 2009. RusBusinessNews was informed by diplomatic sources that his plane will land at Koltsovo airport at 9 a.m. His late arrival to the SCO summit, in which Iran has an observer status, is caused by the complex political situation in Teheran.

Initially the meeting between Mahmud Ahmadinejad and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev was scheduled for 15 June, right after their arrival in the capital city of the Sverdlovsk oblast. The Iranian leader had to reflect on his visit to Ekaterinburg; however, considering the importance of a consultation with the Russian president, he hasn't called it off completely.
