The Kyshtym Copper Electrolytic Plant (KMEZ, a member of the RCC Group) has made its first shipment of commercial 50-micron electrolytic foil with anti-corrosive coating to its customer. The unique product will be used by the Russian manufacturer for lithium-ion batteries.

As RusBusinessNews has been informed by RCC’s Information Policy Department, the investment in the new copper foil electrolysis shop at KMEZ amounted to more than 3 billion rubles. The production line is designed to manufacture foil in thickness ranging from 9 to 105 microns, in compliance with the IPC-4562 international standards.

With its annual output of 1.2 thousand tons of foil, the shop is going to meet the needs of Russian high-tech electronics manufacturers and to export foil to other countries.
