The Sverdlovsk Oblast Industry must Advance Technologically

31.03.2009 — News

THE SVERDLOVSK OBLAST.

The Sverdlovsk Oblast government has released the report on the regional industrial cooperation program for 2009 - 2020. Mining and metallurgy companies are to establish a regional engineering centre for metallurgy, and machine builders are to develop technological processes and equipment for high speed and waste-free methods for processing raw materials employing nanotechnologies.

The new technology-based revival of peat extraction and processing industry and the establishment of the peat cluster is a promising sphere of power engineering, said Anatoly Gredin, the Oblast Minister for Industry, to RusBusinessNews. The research and production centre for locomotive and rolling stock engineering is needed in the Sverdlovsk Oblast. Regional developers will have to be engaged in organising production of gypsum-based construction materials using the metallurgy production waste.
