RCC supports the environmental standard of the Chelyabinsk Region

The enterprises of the Russian Copper Company located in the Chelyabinsk Region have joined the Regional Environmental Standard. As the press service of RCC told RusBusinessNews, Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant, Mikheevsky Mining and Processing Integrated Works, Invest Razvitie concentration factory, Karabashmed plant, Tominsky Processing Plant, Promrecultivation сompany, and Aleksandrinskaya Mining Company (Nagaybaksky district) received a special electronic digital sign.

 

The Regional Environmental Standard of the Chelyabinsk Region was approved in December 2020 and contains a set of regulations, rules, and recommendations for organisations that may have an impact on the environment.

 

The enterprises of the RCC Group that have joined the eco-standard will implement an additional comprehensive plan of environmental protection measures, developed based on the characteristics of the territories of their presence and the specifics of production activities.

 

"The Russian Copper Company pays a lot of attention to environmental projects and initiatives, therefore joining the environmental standard of the Chelyabinsk Region has become a logical continuation of our work. A number of measures and rules included in the eco-standard have been a key focus of RCC's activities for many years. This includes, among other things, the elimination of accumulated environmental damage, landscaping of territories, the introduction of environmental management practices," said Natalia Gonchar, Vice President for Environmental and Industrial Safety of RCC.
