SVERDLOVSK REGION

The salaries of the Corporation's main production personnel will increase by up to 40% beginning March 1, 2023. The increase in income for a variety of working professions will range from 6% to 40%. This year, an additional 1.5 billion rubles will be allocated for salary increases. As RusBusinessNews has been informed by the Press Office of VSMPO-AVISMA, PJSC, this decision was made to secure the company against staff turnover, taking into account an increase in production levels and a labor market study.

First and foremost, attention was paid to the main production personnel. Wages for turners, lather operators, milling operators, smelters, forgers, rolling operators, foundry workers, cutters, metalworkers, heaters, oxygen-cutting operators, electric and gas welders, crane operators, and others will be raised at the VSMPO's site (Verkhnyaya Salda, Sverdlovsk Region). At AVISMA (Berezniki, Perm Region), the salary will be increased for magnesium production pot operators, furnace operators, titanium sponge hammers, smelters, crane operators, and others. A special approach is applied to the professions that are in high demand in the labor market.

"The expansion of product markets and increased production plan allowed us to significantly increase wages for production personnel, which ensures the company's high competitiveness in the labor market. When discussing the salary increase criteria for each job, we made thorough calculations, taking into account inflation, consumer price growth, personnel turnover, and the objective state of the labor market in the regions where the Group's enterprises are located," said Olga Furtatova, head of VSMPO-AVISMA's HR department.

The average salary at VSMPO-AVISMA will reach the amount of 66,582 rubles in 2023, which is above the average in the Sverdlovsk Region (55,247 rubles), Perm Territory (52,066 rubles), and Russia in general (64,191 rubles).

The corporation also allocates substantial funds for social payments and benefits for employees. The expenditures for these purposes exceeded 1 billion rubles in 2022. The remuneration for food expenses has increased since January 1 and the 13-month salary was paid at the end of the previous year.

It should be noted that VSMPO-AVISMA traditionally indexes salaries at the end of each fiscal year. The size of the indexation for this year is to be confirmed shortly.

The global titanium industry leader continues to expand steadily and offers applicants a stable and competitive salary. The job openings can be found on the company's website https://www.vsmpo.ru/career/vacancies/
