The Empathy Charitable Foundation, backed by VSMPO-AVISMA's shareholder Mikhail Shelkov, is initiating a new project to support workers of social rehabilitation centers for minors. This was announced during the award ceremony for the Best Educators in Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda.

The foundation is also extending its most widespread programs in the towns for schools and kindergartens for the fourth time. In total, for the four programs in 2023-2024, educators will be paid nearly 200 million rubles, according to RusBusinessNews.

Last academic year, 604 educators from Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda received monthly bonuses of 15,000 rubles under the main support program. At the same time, the selection for the first season of the Best Teachers of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda program began – its winners received payouts in addition to the main program of the Foundation. Over the summer, an expert commission selected 101 outstanding educators out of 150 portfolios from the two towns. Among them, the top 20 teachers received special prizes. All selected participants during the 2023-2024 academic year will receive an additional 15,000 rubles monthly, meaning the grants from Empathy will double to 30,000 rubles, as stated by the press service of the Empathy Charitable Foundation.

The teacher selection process will become annual: to participate in the program, educators must share their achievements and developments over the past year.

The new charitable program of the foundation is designed for the employees of the centers working with minors. Management, social work specialists, educators, and caregivers from relevant institutions in Verkhnyaya and Nizhnyaya Saldas will receive monthly grants of 10,000 or 15,000 rubles depending on their category. 16 million rubles will be allocated for the program next year.

"The Best Teachers of Verkhnyaya Salda and Nizhnyaya Salda selection helped us properly evaluate the joint work of the foundation and the schools of the two cities, see impressive results in the portfolios, and highlight the most active educators. We will hold such rewards for outstanding achievements every year. Therefore, I hope the program will be a catalyst for teachers and inspire them to achieve new feats," shared Mikhail Shelkov, the founder of the Empathy Charitable Foundation.
