Intesa Sanpaolo Group Opened Standard Italian Office in Ekaterinburg

Intesa Sanpaolo, an Italian financial group, is strengthening its position in the Urals. On 2 July 2009 ZAO KMB-BANK, the Russian subsidiary of the group, opened the largest branch office in the Sverdlovsk Oblast.

The office is located in Ekaterinburg. It meets the standards of the holding company in everything - from the spatial arrangement to the interior design details. KMB-BANK press officers told RusBusinessNews that the new office in the new Intesa Sanpaolo format proves the long-term interest the financial group has in the Ural Federal District.

Intesa Sanpaolo is planning to continue integration in the Urals market.Intesa Sanpaolo is the largest bank in Italy, and the fourth in terms of market capitalisation in the euro zone. The group is represented in Russia by ZAO KMB-BANK; it has a 75% interest minus 1 share. The rest belongs to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

ZAO KMB-BANK has offices in the Sverdlovsk Oblast (in Ekaterinburg, Kamensk-Uralsky, Nizhny Tagil, Pervouralsk) and in the Chelyabinsk Oblast (in Chelyabinsk). According to the latest data, the bank's loan portfolio in the Ural Federal District has reached 7 billion 696 million roubles. The loan portfolio in Ekaterinburg amounts to 5 billion 526 million roubles.
