VSMPO-AVISMA will assist in the construction of a filtration complex in Verkhnyaya Salda

Verkhnyaya Salda's water filtration system is set for a major overhaul. Funding for the ambitious reconstruction project was secured through a new trilateral agreement signed at the 15th INNOPROM International Industrial Exhibition on July 9th. This agreement brings together Acting Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler, Verkhnyaya Salda Municipal District Head Aleksandr Maslov, and VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation's General Director Dmitry Trifonov, solidifying a partnership to modernize the city's vital water infrastructure.

 

The agreement stipulates that approximately 800 million rubles in taxes paid by the titanium corporation in 2024 will be reimbursed from the regional treasury and allocated to the first phase of the Verkhnyaya Salda water filtration plant modernization project. This represents only a portion of the required funding; the remainder will come from the city and regional budgets. VSMPO-AVISMA has already begun the design phase, according to a statement provided to RusBusinessNews by the corporation's press service.

"I am grateful to the Corporation and the municipal leadership for sharing our vision of working together to solve urban challenges. Aleksandr Maslov, Head of the Verkhnyaya Salda Municipal District, emphasized the significant role of VSMPO-AVISMA in implementing projects across all spheres of life in the district: education, healthcare, sports, culture, construction, and the development of public spaces. "Signing this supplemental agreement with VSMPO-AVISMA is a vital step towards modernizing our infrastructure and improving the quality of life in Verkhnyaya Salda," he stated. "We are confident that these joint efforts will lead to significant improvements in our city and create new opportunities for its residents."

 

Under the main trilateral agreement signed in 2025, roads have been improved and emergency sections of the heat and water supply systems have been repaired recently.

 

"The combined efforts of the government, city administration, and our company are already yielding tangible results in the socio-economic development of Verkhnyaya Salda," noted Dmitry Trifonov, General Director of the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation. "Every year, the Corporation invests hundreds of millions of rubles in the cities where it operates to improve public areas, renovate social facilities, and implement charitable projects."

In November 2024, at the first meeting of the organizing committee for improving the socio-economic development indicators of the Verkhnesaldinsky Municipal District, VSMPO-AVISMA supported the action plan for the 250th anniversary of Verkhnyaya Salda, which will be celebrated in 2028. At the corporation's suggestion, the hospital complex will be renovated, along with several other healthcare facilities.

 

Plans also include the construction of a bus station, renovations to a school and kindergarten, and equipping the Tyrus Sport multifunctional sports complex and the Labor and Victory Square. As part of the Demidov Quarter reconstruction, the embankment and the area adjacent to the church will be landscaped, and the local history museum will be renovated.
